Central Electrical Contracts Ltd History
1986
It all began in 1986 as Paul Jones the Managing Director of Central Electrical Contracts Ltd started off as a self-employed electrician.

2008
After more than two decades as a sole trader Paul decided to create a limited company and Central Electrical Contracts Ltd was established.
2012
Lighting R Us stemmed from Central Electrical Contracts Ltd. CEC noticed a lot of their customers were asking where they could purchase high-quality, stylish lights. Taking this on board, CEC decided to offer the full package by installing/fixing lights and supplying them too. As a result, Lighting R Us was born! A little shop was formed out of the offices that Central Electrical Contracts Ltd used.

2015
Outgrowing the premises – the display area was too small for retail lighting. Lighting R Us decided to move to a much larger shop around the corner, turning into an impressive showroom that would be open to the general public. This was now known as the largest lighting showroom in Wolverhampton. Not to mention the showroom was a success, as there were more styles on display for customers to admire.

2018
Central Electrical Contracts Ltd moved premises, after outgrowing their previous offices. With new employees arose new opportunities and just like that Central Electrical Contracts Ltd grew significantly. Their new premises were located behind Lighting R Us showroom.

2021
During the pandemic, Paul had a business offer he could not refuse. With endless possibilities in sight the project began instantly and was well underway during summer 2021.
The business offer allowed Paul to employ new members of staff that previously worked for Capital Appliance Centre before their Macrome branch closed. CEC were able to take on a new adventure within retail, offering an appliance showroom and from there Central Electrical Appliances was established.
2022
After the refurbishment of the newly purchased premises. Central Electrical Contracts Ltd offices and Lighting R Us showroom relocated to their new location on Macrome Road.
Central Electrical Appliances and Lighting R Us refurbishment had finally come to an end, allowing both the showrooms to open to the public.
With work continuing to tumble in from the Black Country heartland of Dudley, Walsall, Sandwell, as well as Staffordshire, Shropshire, Birmingham and the distant reaches of the West Midlands, the future is looking very bright for Central Electrical Contracts Ltd.
